The Clarice Wilson Garden Club is dedicated to promoting the love of gardening and serve our community through gardening with our annually recurring projects and our yearly president's projects.
All profits from our yearly fundraisers go towards these projects that enrich the Greenville community and the gardening lives of our members.
2023-2024
President Liz Myer's theme, "Creating Our Legacy by Building on Our Past and Growing for the Future"
Our Clarice Wilson Garden Club members have become avid gardeners over the years. Our legacy is to pass on our knowledge and skills of gardening to the next generation, so they can learn the importance of horticulture.
The knowledge begins with small steps, by participating and hosting educational programs and hands-on activities like Woodsy Owl and Smoky Bear to spark curiosity in children about nature. As they grow and mature so do their interests in gardening, so our financial support to Camp Wildwood helps teens further develop their knowledge and skills. This is our future generation.
In addition, we will work with the proper authorities to provide handicap accessibility for two of our established gardens.
We will also perform environmental volunteerism by helping Friends of the Reedy River eradicate invasive plants on a Weed Pull.
Finally, We plan to create May Day bouquets as a Garden Therapy Project, connecting our senior members with youth.
